We are proud to announce that Plaza Fiesta was the host location for the second annual Day of the Dead Festival in Hendersonville, NC. A letter from the organizers:
Friday was one of the most successful cultural events the center has ever organized. The second annual Day of the Dead Festival was supported by so many – volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, food donations, flowers, toy donations, media advertising…the list goes on and on. We were able to grow on a beautiful tradition.
Thank you for donating your time and talents and being part of this special night.
Approximately 600 community members, children and families came out to enjoy the night!
More than 100 toys were raffled (free) to children
A Mexican Cultural tradition was shared through folkloric dance, music, altars and food
More than 24 community sponsors, local agencies and businesses!
All our sponsors were promoted in several ways: flyers that were distributed at the Flea Market, churches, organizations, ESL classes, etc; newspaper, facebook and during the event (passports, information tables, announcements).
Games, face-painting, altar, sugar skulls, delicious food, costumes and good conversations and friends made this a night to remember. We look forward to next year!

THANK YOU again for supporting the Day of the Dead Festival!
